High-Octane Hero Soccer Arrives on PC
On March 2nd, Run Games unveiled Football Heroes League, a free-to-play Early Access title on Steam and the Epic Games Store. First teased in a surprise “shadow-drop” at the Future Games Show during gamescom LATAM, this hero-driven soccer experience merges arcade flair with realistic physics and tactical gameplay. A Futuristic Take on Football with Super Abilities
Set in the year 20XX, when soccer’s influence permeates every facet of life, Football Heroes League outfits players with elemental powers, robotic shields, and DNA enhancements. At launch, you can select from five heroes in the three different roles and playstyles:
- Attackers like Kenzo, who can execute gravity-defying Spinning Bicycle Kicks.
- Defenders like Bun-E, who can deploy Defender Bots to block incoming shots.
- Midfielder like Beckers, who can fire Homing Shots that curve around opponents.
Each hero’s distinctive ball-handling, shooting, and zone-control abilities encourage teams to synchronize ultimates and dominate 50-50 aerial duels. Compete in 2v2, 3v3, or 5v5 matches across casual and ranked modes.
Accessible Controls yet Deep in Strategy
While the pick-up-and-play controls let you trap, pass, and shoot with ease, the underlying physics engine rewards smart positioning and timing. Mastering the synergy between tactical movement and hero powers is key to outplaying rivals.
