Keep Going Is a Surreal New Horror Game That Twists Identity and Reality

Published on:

Keep Going, a haunting 2D point-and-click psychological horror visual novel, created for PGDX 2025. Developed under the game development organization Mapúa Game Consensus, the game delivers an unnerving exploration of identity, memory, and inner voices through surreal visuals and atmospheric storytelling.

A Game That Blurs Reality and Identity

In Keep Going, you wake up in a world that makes no sense: twisted hallways, whispering walls, and a disembodied voice that won’t stop hissing, “The only way out is forward.” There’s no memory of how you got there. No plan. Just a severed hand in your grip and dread crawling in your veins.

As you explore the ever-shifting space, you must choose, trust the voice, resist it, or stay trapped in limbo. Your decisions shape the story, with three possible endings offering different interpretations of truth.

Handcrafted by a Young Indie Team

Keep Going is a project developed by student creators from Mapúa University, members of Mapúa Game Consensus, a game development organization fostering creativity and collaboration. Every asset in the game code, visuals, sound is original and crafted without the use of AI tools.

Development Team:

  • Game Designer: Athan Teovisio
  • Artists: Andhrea Sunga, Blythe De Castro, Lisle Benedict Lelis
  • Programmers: John Michael Ceniza, Ady Reales

The team used Unity for development, Aseprite for art, FL Studio for audio, and Paint.net for finishing touches blending modern tools with a retro aesthetic.
