Season 2: Blessing of Embers introduces fresh synergies, revamped mechanics, and global competition

SINGAPORE, 21 May 2025 — MOONTON Games is gearing up for the global release of its fast-growing strategy title Magic Chess: Go Go (MCGG) on 28 May 2025. Following its successful debut in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region in February, the highly anticipated mobile game is now ready to reach a worldwide audience—just in time for the start of its exciting Season 2: Blessing of Embers.

With over 20 million pre-registrations, MCGG has already proven to be one of 2025’s biggest mobile hits. Developed by the original team behind Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), the game combines familiar characters from the MLBB universe with dynamic auto battler gameplay, pitting eight players against each other in real-time PvP duels on a single chessboard.

A New Season Sparks Global Competition

Launching alongside the global release, Season 2 will introduce major gameplay upgrades and thematic changes. Centered on the epic clash between Gods and Demons, the season adds six new Synergies, increasing the total to ten. These Synergies offer unique buffs that activate when multiple heroes from the same faction are deployed—adding strategic depth and variety to every match.

A fan-favorite mechanic from the original Magic Chess is also making a comeback: Blessings. When players field three or more identical heroes at the same level, a Blessing may trigger, granting extra Synergies or Roles. Stacking these effects can unlock the powerful Ultra Synergy, giving players a game-changing edge.

Community Growth and Esports Momentum

MCGG has already begun to foster a lively player and content creator community. According to producer Gao “Skyhook” Chong, response from the APAC region has been “extremely positive,” with daily gameplay videos and livestreams generating millions of views. The game’s first major esports event, the Magic Chess: Go Go Indonesia Community Tournament (MCCT ID), attracted thousands of participants and viewers—setting the stage for a competitive global scene.

As MCGG opens its doors to a global audience, fans can expect ongoing updates, new strategic systems, and a growing competitive ecosystem. Whether you’re a returning fan or a newcomer, Magic Chess: Go Go promises a fresh, fast-paced take on strategy gaming—now available to players everywhere.

MCGG is currently available for download in Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand on iOS and Android
